Why hide?
Why run in disguise?

Pretensions deserve some undoing

The woods stayed up
The stars hanged on
We were sitting on earth under heaven
All night long and hours past eleven
We shed some tears
To the ground they fell
To the green grass dew
With the pain we never knew
Our questions were hard to answer
Our words and voices were about to falter
You swept my dripping tears
Hushed my heart assuring you’ll be here
We were waiting for our eyes to dry
And never give up you say we’ll try
We were waiting for the stars to fall
The sun still rose on us after all

Deep breath, long sigh
The sunset repaints the color of sky
This is what your heart longs for
A scenic view or a metaphor
Wipe off some noise of a hectic day
By a placid beach and music of waves
Just this moment the sun seems shy
But leaves a beauty as seabirds fly
End of day and birth of night
Darkness and light ramble to collide
Say goodnight to unforsaking scars
Let your heart give way to the stars.

Sudden tears and raindrops fell as if stormy

Life is a puzzle
You wonder and dazzle
To the grave from cradle
Trapped in a maze we journey and wrestle
Life is full of questions
Questions more than convictions
Will I ever solve this mystery?
Gathering up pieces from an allegory
Life is an enigma
Lines and scripts or some iffy drama
I’ve gotta ask God what these all mean
Or shall we just wake up from this awry dream?

Shades that turn
