Broken Song

beating but a broken sound
rattling and mumbling words
confessions more than melancholy
sorrows and plain regrets
all i am a wretched king,
begging for indispensable mercy
committed crime beyond remedy

i reckon i’m a man of war
brave enough to face my foes
but I.. I cringe in fear
to lose the One I hold so dear
i admit i dread all consequence
dismissive now is my eloquence
in the light of You there’s no pretense

the mess i made
this guilt I bear
conquered kingdoms but grace i can’t buy
desperation is the currency
i need You so in this misery
nothing i can give
but a broken heart singing a broken song

Pour over my stormy seas
A thousand times more
More than my cries at this shore

Let my laid back boat go sinking
An impetuous dive is worth taking

Life is a Puzzle

Life is a puzzle
You wonder and dazzle
To the grave from cradle
Trapped in a maze we journey and wrestle

Life is full of questions
Questions more than convictions
Will I ever solve this mystery?
Gathering up pieces from an allegory

Life is an enigma
Lines and scripts or some iffy drama
I’ve gotta ask God what these all mean
Or shall we just wake up from this awry dream?

As easy as 1-2-3
Everything came to be
